No matter what you think, there’s a lot to be thankful for. You just need to count your blessings. As David says in Psalm 103, “Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”

Heavenly Father, on this special day as I celebrate another year of life, I come before you with a heart filled with gratitude. I am humbled by the gift of life you have given me and the countless blessings you have showered upon me throughout the years. Today, I offer this prayer of gratitude, acknowledging your love, grace, and faithfulness.

I thank you for the breath of life. Thank you for creating me, fearfully and wonderfully, in your image. Thank you for the precious gift of existence and for the opportunity to experience the beauty and wonder of your creation. 

I am grateful for the lessons I have learned throughout the years, both the joys and the struggles. Thank you for the times of growth, for the wisdom gained through difficult experiences, and for the strength you have provided me to overcome obstacles. 

Thank you for the talents and abilities you have bestowed upon me, enabling me to contribute positively to the world. I am grateful for the chance to pursue my passions, to explore new horizons, and to make a difference in the lives of others. May I always use these gifts for your glory.

Above all, Lord, I thank you for your presence in my life. Thank you for your unconditional love and unwavering faithfulness. Thank you for guiding me through life’s ups and downs, for being my refuge in times of trouble, and for showering me with your grace and mercy. 

As I celebrate my birthday, I am also grateful for the year ahead. I know you have great plans for me. Help me to trust you and strengthen my faith in you. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

Birthday Prayer For Blessings

As you give thanks for the blessings of the past year, also take time to ask God for more blessings this year. Not just money and material things, but also spiritual blessings like forgiveness, a righteous heart and strengthened faith. 

Dear Lord, I humbly come before you on my birthday, deeply grateful for all the blessings you have showered over me. The blessings of life, family, friends, shelter, food and countless other blessings.

As I set upon a new year of my life, I ask that you walk with me every step of the way. Guide my way and fulfill my needs according to your glory. 

Most of all, I want to get closer to you. Bless me with the Holy Spirit so that I may become a worthy vessel and a witness for Christ to all those around me. 

I also pray for good health. Protect me from any diseases, injuries or accidents that might cause me harm. Fill my mind and heart with your peace, strength and joy so I can face life’s challenges without succumbing to anxiety or depression. 

I ask for your provision in every area of my life. Bless my work and career, that I may find fulfillment and make a positive impact in my chosen field. Open doors of opportunity and bless the work of my hands. Grant me success and prosperity, not only for my benefit but also to bless others in need.

Lord, I pray for my relationships. Bless my family and loved ones with your grace and love. Strengthen the bonds between us and help us to grow in love, understanding, and forgiveness. Surround me with friends who uplift and encourage me, and grant me the opportunity to be a blessing in their lives as well.

Birthday Prayer for Spiritual Growth

In our haste to ask God for money and material blessings, we often forget about the state of our faith. Use this prayer to reflect on your spiritual journey so far and to ask God to help you where you feel weak.

Dear Father, I come before you with a desire to grow closer to you, to deepen my faith, and to align my life with your will. 

I have not always done the right thing. I have sinned many times and gone against your word. My faith has been tested, and has wavered more than once. I recognize that my flesh is weak and as long as I am in this body, I will never achieve spiritual perfection. 

I come to you with a broken heart, pleading for mercy and forgiveness. Cleanse my heart of all sin and evil, and renew your Holy Spirit in me. 

As I start another year of my life, my greatest wish is to grow stronger in faith. I pray for hunger and thirst for your word. Open my eyes and my heart to the truths found in scripture. Give me a deeper understanding of your love, your character, and your purposes. 

Father, I pray for a spirit of humility and surrender. Teach me to let go of my own desires and ambitions, and to submit to your will. Strip away any ego, self-centeredness, and distractions that hinder my spiritual growth. Mold me into the image of Christ, that I may reflect your love and goodness to the world.

Surround me with fellow believers who will encourage and challenge me in my walk with you. Give me wise and Godly mentors who can guide me on this journey of spiritual growth. Help me to contribute to the spiritual growth of others as well, that we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds.

In a year’s time when I celebrate my next birthday, I want to be kinder, more loving, wiser, more compassionate and stronger in my faith.I commit this year of my life to you, surrendering my plans and desires to your perfect will. May I continue to grow in faith, love, and knowledge of you.

Lord, I express my deepest gratitude for the love and support of my family and friends.
