4x Prayer For A Mother Who Lost Her Son
Gratitude Prayer
Almighty Father, I come before your presence today, thanking you for the gift of life and health. Thank you most especially for her who has lost her son. You have always been there for her and her family. Thank you for the times that she had the opportunity to spend time with her son. I believe that their memories together will never depart from her heart. Thank you that you gave her the gift of the womb and that he was present throughout her entire life until the time that you decided you wanted him back with you.
He took care of her needs whenever he could and showed love for his mother. He was always there for her even when she was sick. He provided for her even when he knew that his mother was capable of taking care of her needs on her own. He never gave up but instead stood with his mother through thick and thin. He was a good son, one that any parent would wish to have as a child. Thank you for all the happy years they enjoyed together. Thank you that he loved and cared for his mother selflessly.
Lord his death was so sudden. No one expected that he would die at that young age. He was strong and healthy. It was really tough for his mother when she came to learn of the devastating news that her son had been admitted in the hospital following an accident. She stayed in hospital day and night praying in the chapel for her son’s recovery. Lord your ways are not our ways. You still decided that you should take him even when she was not ready to lose him. Lord the feeling of being helpless is bad but having no option than to accept that your son may not make it is even worse. I thank you Lord that the time he spent on the hospital bed deteriorating, came as a preparation for his mother so that she would come to terms with the fact that her son may not make it. Lord I thank you that you gave them time to spend with each other before taking him.
Amen.
Prayer for Everlasting Peace
Heavenly Father, the death of her son has really taken a toll on her. She is always in pain when she thinks and talks about him, she tries to act all strong but I know that she is not okay. I pray that you bring her peace in her heart to accept that her son is long gone and will never come back. May she find solace in the fact that her son is now at a better place, free of sorrow, suffering and pain. May she be comforted that he now dwells with you in heaven. Comfort her so that she would take this experience positively. Be with her my Lord and let her find comfort in your loving arms.
When her son kicked the bucket, she could not believe it. She even thought that the doctor had made a mistake. Up till now she finds it difficult to come to terms with the fact that he’s no more. She still thinks that her son will come back home. She is still in denial my God which is not a very good sign. I pray Lord that you teach her to move on, to get past all this and to accept that she will never see her son ever again. Comfort her during this time because if you hold her hand at this time and never let it go, I am certain that she will be able to pull through. Give her the peace that comes from you to be able to deal with her pain. Be with her my dear Lord. Through Jesus Christ I pray.
Amen.
Prayer for Inner Healing
Sweet Jesus, I pray for her divine healing and the strength to move on with her life. She has shut herself from the outside world. I come to you during this time that she is mourning her son’s death; I surrender her feelings, emotions and most especially her heart to you. She has a heart ache and I believe that there is a medicine that can cure it, and that medicine is you my God. Let her draw the strength she needs to overcome her pain from you. Teach her to accept this path that all of us at some point will take when our time comes. Let her find solace in your word Hebrews 13:5, that you will never leave or abandon her.
Lord It is so hard for her to accept her loss. She says that she is angry at her herself for not doing anything to stop her son from travelling and she’s also mad at her son because he didn’t fight to stay alive. She questions your will Lord. Please forgive her Lord for questioning your will. Help her to forgive her son and herself as well so that she can be able to heal from the pain of losing her son. Heal her heart Lord, give her the strength to accept your will, move on with her life and have peace with herself and in her heart. Heal her internal wounds dear Lord because you are the physician of our hearts.
Amen.
Prayer for Rest
Jesus Christ our savior, in your death you opened a gateway to eternal life. Look kindly on his son who passed away and all those who you have taken from this earth. Unite them with your passion and death, and saved by the blood you shed, may they come before you with confidence so that they would rest in peace, most especially his son. Have mercy on him, forgive him and accept him in your presence. Open your hands wide open and welcome him into your home that is rich with happiness, peace and all the good things. Save him from the fire of hell and lead his soul into heaven.
Almighty Father, I come to you pleading for his forgiveness so that he may find redemption from all his faults. God the Creator and Redeemer of all the world, grant his soul the remission of all his sins. I desire that through my prayers he may obtain pardon from you. That he may be worthy to live with you where you dwell. Lord hear my prayer.
Jesus, because of your bitter passion and the wounds on your body, have mercy on him. Because of your bitter agony and death on the cross, give his soul eternal rest. You were crucified on the cross to save mankind, save his soul.
Lord grant him eternal rest and let perpetual light shine on him. May he rest in peace.
Mary, Mother of God, come to my aid with your powerful intercession.
Amen.
