for Understanding and Accepting the Loss

Dear Lord, you know what this family is going through. You know their pain, their sadness, their anguish. You hear their cries every single day O’ Lord. We may not know Your plan for their pain, but I know You see and love them dearly. You know everything about them, their thoughts, actions, and words. Father God, please shine Your eternal light onto their hearts and let them feel Your presence in their lives. Flood their souls with Your love so they may see Your goodness in the midst of this difficult time. Wipe away the tears from their faces.

Please grant them serenity of mind to understand that You’re Sovereign and You work all things according to Your purpose. Help them to accept Your will O Heavenly Father. I ask you to take away their pain and struggles and use them for good. Fill their hearts with your unconditional love and healing light. Grant them the wisdom to find new ways to cope with their loss. Rise above their hurt and renew their spirits. Amen.

for Comfort in Grief and Loss

God of all comfort and the Father of compassion and mercies, I lift this family to You. They’re surrounded by the darkness of loss and grief. Lord, please guide them out of this dark hole and into your loving light because there is no darkness with You. Please send the Holy Spirit to comfort them.

Just like You walked with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego when they needed you most, walk beside this family and guide them through this challenging time. Let Your presence fill their home. Let them know that they’re not alone. Uphold them with Your mighty hand. Surround them with Your peace and love, O Lord. Guide this family in everything that they do and wherever they go. Bless these amazing people today and in the days ahead as they prepare to put their kin to rest. I pray all this in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

for Strength and Courage during Grieving

Loving God, You’re the only one who understands what these precious people are going through. Their hearts are hurting, and their eyes are weak from so much crying. I know, Lord, in Your own time, You’ll turn those tears into shouts of joy. You’ll make Your presence be known because You have all the power and authority over all things.

Precious Father, this family needs You right now. Grant them the strength to face each new day. Turn their weaknesses into strength and courage. When they stumble and fall, lift them, gracious God. When the pain and despair seem too much to bear, give them rest. When thoughts and painful memories come rushing in, help them trust that You’re greater than their distress and have a purpose for everything. When they’re fearful or doubtful, give them confidence in the power of faith.

Lord, hold this family close. Watch over their comings and goings in this challenging time and surround each and every one of them with Your unfailing love. Amen.

to Heal their Broken Heart

Precious God, —— left a big hole in the heart of this close-knit family. Their love for each other was beyond any love I had ever witnessed. Now that (name) is gone, it’s going to be rough for them. I know their hearts are shattered into pieces as things will never be the same again without (name). Lord, Our Savior, and Redeemer, You promised not to leave your children in depths of sorrow. Show Yourself and help them through this terrible loss. Guide them out of this darkness with Your brightly shining light. Let the same light illuminate their paths and show them where to go after this loss. Let them find refuge in Your loving arms.

Dear God, please mend their broken hearts with Your compassion and care. Uplift their spirits with Your love and hope. Use anyone that visits or talks to this family as a voice of encouragement. Please give them the wisdom to know when to speak and what to say. I know God, You’ll hear my humble prayer. Thank You, Lord, for Your mercy and gracious acts. Amen.

for Finding Inner Peace

God of love and compassion, I don’t know what You have in store for this wonderful family, but I know You have a purpose for each and every member of this family. Right now, they’re confused and might find it hard to trust Your plan, but help them to trust Your love and care. Remind them of the many blessings in their lives.

Lord, take away any anger, fear, pain, or anxiety they may have. I know Your peace surpasses any comprehension, so I ask You to fill their hearts and minds with peace so they can sleep peacefully at all times. Help them to always turn to You when a wave of sorrow and pain completely engulfs them. Please give them the strength they need to make it through the heartache.

Jesus, cover these people with Your hedge of protection. Guide their plans and let them move together as one. May You strengthen and bless their relationships. In Your Holy name, I pray, Amen.

  1. These prayers are VERY NEGATIVE & INSENSITIVE

Tey suggest terrible things to the recipient then offer “condolence”
