It is upsetting to lose something that you had a special attachment to and which you call yours. It is therefore important to pray because it is the most powerful tool when looking for stolen items and it gives us the hope of finding them.

Prayer of Dedication

God our protector, I want to thank you so much for the gift of life and health. Thank you for your protection upon my life. I am so grateful that I only lost material things and not my life or the life of a loved one or a dear friend. I thank you because you protected me and you still are protecting me. I thank you for your love my father. I thank you for all that you have provided for me in my life and the fact that you have allowed me to even provide for my family. I thank you because you even allowed me be in possession of those items in the first place. I now dedicate my life and everything I own to your care. Please protect me, my loved ones and all my properties.

Lord I am so ashamed that I sometimes forget to dedicate my possessions to you. I sometimes forget that you alone are our protector. I humbly come before you asking for your forgiveness for all the times that I failed to put you first. You come before everything else and it was wrong of me to forget that. Forgive me for the times that I made it look like my properties were more important than you. Forgive me if by asking for your help to get my stolen items back I sound materialistic. Those items could never be more important than you are and I believe that if it’s your will I will get them back.

I pray that you soften my heart and grant the thieves forgiveness for what they did. Let me not harbor any feelings of resentment towards them but instead forgive them from the depth of my heart. This is truly painful for me, to imagine what I have lost really breaks my heart and I feel like I should curse them to be worse than what they already are but this would be selfish on my part. I don’t want others to suffer the same fate and that is why Lord, through your help, I now bless them and pray for their change. Bless them so that they will become kind-hearted human beings who want to only do your will.

Be with me Lord during this time. Help me to be hopeful that with you everything is possible. Help me to believe in the possibility of the return of my stolen items. Lord help me to find them and reunite with my items. Be with me and lead me to them my Lord. In Luke 11:9, your word gives me comfort that nothing is beyond your ability. You know everything Lord even the whereabouts of my stolen items and if I ask you for help in getting them back, you will provide it. Lord I knock on your door right now. There is no one else more capable than you. Help me to find my stolen items. Help the thieves that stole them to return them back to me in one piece safely.

Lord Jesus I believe in your power and the fact that impossible does not exist to you. I believe in the possibility of reuniting with my stolen items. Thank you Jesus, praise you Jesus.

Prayer for Thieves

Almighty God, you who is righteous, I pray for the thieves who stole my items. They were valuable to me even though I try so much not to dwell on material things. It is not right to take something that does not belong to you without permission. I pray that you touch their hearts so that they can do the right thing by returning what they stole from me. My heart is really hurting because you Lord know what I went through just to acquire them. I did that through hard work and sweat and even sacrificed some things in my life in order to have them. Lord please help the thieves to have a change of heart and bring back all that they stole from me. I pray that you urge them to return them to me.

I pray that you may help the thieves to change and stop engaging in such activities. Purify their hearts so that from this day onwards they will only do what is right and pleasing to you. Please forgive them for their sins and allow them to reform their lives. Let them become obedient to your will and fill them only with the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Help them to change from their actions which make others suffer. Let them shun away from evil and renounce Satan and all his ways. May they embrace you into their hearts so that your will may be done into their lives. Let them know that obeying the Ten Commandments is the quickest and easiest route to eternal life which comes without pain and suffering.

Lord I pray that you reach their hearts and make them want to always do the right things. Help them to realize that they will be set free through asking for forgiveness and returning all that they have stolen, not only from me but from other people as well. It is through Jesus Christ that I pray.

Prayer for Healing and Moving On

God who is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient, as I pray to you to help me get back my stolen items, I dare not forget to ask that your will be done. I am so persistent in asking you to return my items, that I forget that it may not be what you want to happen. I therefore ask that you let your will be done. If it’s your will for me to recover my stolen items then so be it. If it’s not your will then so be it. I want it done according to your will and not according to my own wishes.

Lord if it is your will that I don’t get them back, then please heal my heart and help me to move on. Help me to be thankful that I only lost material possessions and not my family or friends. Help me to realize that it can be replaced and if not, it’s not a life and help me to let go. Help me to remember that you want us to leave our earthly possessions and follow you. Open my heart to the possibility of never seeing them again and take away the anxiety I have over losing them. Heal my heart Lord from wanting to find my stolen items and help me make peace with the fact that they will never be returned to me.

Lord if it is your will for me to get them back, then help me to find them. You alone know of the stress I have been going through since these items were stolen from me. You know just how much they meant to me. I pray that you return them to me in your own way. Guide me in whatever I do and say my Lord. Give me faith and hope of getting them back. Lord I am and will forever be grateful to you for your help. Lord I continue to keep my trust in you and serve you as you are worthy of my praises today. Lord help me so that my stolen items would be returned to me.

I pray all this through Christ our Lord and plead with the Mother of God to pray for me to the Lord our God.
