Prayer For A Better Tomorrow

From global pandemics and wars to work woes and other personal and family problems, tomorrow has never seemed so uncertain. Fortunately, our Father reassures us in Matthew 6:34, “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious about itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”  Here are a few prayers to plead the Blood of Jesus for better days ahead.

3x Prayer For A Better Tomorrow

prayer for a better tomorrow

Breaking the Spirit of Fear

Dear Lord, I thank you for blessing us with yet another day. Many are those who went to sleep and didn’t wake up. For this, we are grateful. Though you continue to assure us that today is for me, and tomorrow for you, I am filled with fear and doubt Father.

Fear of what the days ahead hold for me – fear of losing my job, my health, my family or my faith. The last few years alone have brought numerous unforeseen mental, physical, emotional and spiritual challenges to a lot of people. I’m scared that life is getting worse and there’s little hope for tomorrow.

Mary Mother of Jesus, help me maintain my trust in God. Remind me of all the good He has done and continues to do in my life. Grant me strength to stand tall against the spirit of fear trying to operate in my life.

I bind and dismantle any demonic powers trying to take over my mind, heart and soul. I refuse to operate in fear and doubt in the name of Jesus. The Book of Isaiah 54:17 tells us that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, WE shall condemn.

Like a small child I vow to trust my Holy Father in every aspect of my life no matter what comes my way. I declare over my life that you are my shield, my protector, my safe haven. May your sovereign care and everlasting peace guard my heart and mind in Jesus’ name,

Amen

Restoration

In your own words, Philippians 4:6 assures us not to be anxious about anything, but in supplication and prayer with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to God. Oh Lord, I come before you today thankful for all you have done, but also with a heavy heart.

This season has seen a lot of your flock lose relationships, means of livelihood, and even faith. There’s been so much going wrong in politics, religion, business, and numerous global crises. To be honest, it’s getting harder and harder to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

But it’s in times like this that I remember your loyal servant Job his season of loss that rivals no other. He lost his family, health, friends, possessions and much more. And even when he was is his death-bed, he never stopped singing praises in your Holy name. But in the end, you not only renewed his strength but also restored his family and fortunes several times over.

Mary Mother of God, please find it in your heart to look upon your servant with favor and mercy. Help me keep my thoughts focused on the Lord and not what I have lost along the way. Let me not get lost in the sea of curses and lamentation.

I ask Heavenly Father, that you either restore what has been lost or please guide me towards something new and greater. Bless me and my efforts in such a way that I can also become a blessing to others during this turbulent season. If I can hold fast and steady in my faith without faltering, I know you will restore, renew, and rejuvenate me.

Grant me the strength to persevere diligently in the hope for a better tomorrow.

Amen

Gratitude and Thanksgiving

Praise be to the Most High. In a time when your children are struggling to make sense of what the future holds, I pray for the strength to be thankful for today. I am grateful for the moment and want to enjoy the now even in the midst of all the challenges that face us.

Even though things might seem bleak right now, I am rejuvenated every time I read the Book of Jeremiah 29:11-13, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans for welfare, not evil, to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me, pray to me and I will hear you.”

My heart is sated Dear Lord, and I have no doubt that you have a plan for me, and that everything happens so your name can be Praised. I worship you today and thank you well in advance for all the blessings that are about to come my way.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and staff comfort me. I am not alone. I call on the Virgin Mary to help me focus on the Holy Spirit and starve this flesh.

I thank you Oh Jehovah for the small victories I my life. Granted to me not because of being perfect in my righteousness and obedience, but by the true faith in Jesus Christ. I cannot even begin to describe how grateful I am that you make allowances for my weaknesses, sins, unbelief, and failures.

Thank you for helping me overcome my fears, my doubts about what tomorrow holds. May my words praise your everlasting name forever, just as your love and mercy endures unconditionally.

Amen.

Final Word

As Catholics, we know that prayer is a continuous process. So as we pray for God to act around us, we need to be prepared for Him to also act within us. Our God works in mysterious ways but always has a plan.

So let us thank God for the good, and the bad alike. And as we plead for better days, may your better tomorrow begin today. Do not trade in your hopes for despair – God always delivers on his promise so hang in there love.
